Queen V Day is a day to show our gratitude to a female Veteran for her commitment and sacrifice for our country.

One brisk day in 2019, the owner of AOAGWLLC, Raquel Riley Thomas, was getting her hair done. As a Veteran, Raquel started to think of ways she could pamper another Veteran. Having had her own mother, a U.S. Army Veteran, take her life by suicide, Raquel wanted to give a day of “R and R” to a deserving Veteran.

Raquel called up friends and associates’ she knew and within 2 weeks, she was able to get $7,500 worth of complimentary services for a special Veteran. Services included: All-day Transportation, Spa services, Hair services, Makeup services, Outfit Styling services and much more! We are back for 2024 and now we have moved the project to the Buckhead area in Atlanta, GA. To qualify for this event, a Veteran must show proof of service (DD214), must be Honorably discharged from the military and must live within a 20-mile radius of Atlanta, GA.

Nominations: Do you know a Veteran who deserves some extra pampering for a day? Does she live within a 20-mile radius of Atlanta, GA? Perhaps, she is a mother who does not have much time for herself. Maybe she was a homeless Veteran. Whatever the case may be, we want you to nominate her for a day of pampering.

To nominate a Veteran for our “Queen V Day” fill out the form here. Deadline for nominations is 5pm Oct 16, 2024.

Please note, participants must be willing to be filmed on camera for this project.
