Keeping Us Safe and Stylish: 11-Year Old Tween Chef Launches Durable and Upscale Cooking Wear
WASHINGTON - Nov. 18, 2020 -- Sophia "SJ" Thomas is taking the cooking world by storm! At only 11-years old she owns her own company, called SJ Savory Kitchen, a place where she shares her cooking journey by giving tips and recipes to both adults and children on gourmet cooking. She has also started her on cooking wear line, a stylish and upscale 4-piece set.
Sophia "SJ" Thomas signature cooking set includes: a chef's apron, chef's hat, a pot holder and an oven glove. It comes in both kid and adult sizes.
"My goal is to see families not only have fun cooking together, but to also look good and be safe. When making the products, I involved in the design process start to finish. I designed it based on what I use myself when I am cooking for my family and friends!"

SJ has been awarded in the community for her leadership achievements. She was awarded the National "Girl of Merit" 2019 award.
