ATLANTA’S FASHION ELITE GATHERS FOR “THE RISE: FASHION IN BLOOM — SPRING EDITION ’26”

ATLANTA, GA — Last Thursday, Atlanta’s fashion, media, and cultural tastemakers gathered at the Distillery of Modern Art for a standout evening as THE RISE: Fashion in Bloom — Spring Edition ’26 delivered an immersive, high-impact fashion experience that continues to elevate the city’s creative landscape.

Produced by Poshe Productions in collaboration with FACE (Fashion, Art, Culture & Education), the evening was a seamless fusion of fashion, performance, and culture. Under the leadership of Michelle Lynch, the production once again demonstrated its ability to create an environment where emerging and established creatives can thrive while engaging a sophisticated and influential audience.

The runway showcased a dynamic lineup of designers, each bringing a unique interpretation of spring through storytelling, structure, and innovation. Featured collections included Adorn Me Treasures by Laura Johnson, The Metamorphosis – A Study of Tailoring by Aysegul, Exalting in Beauty by Aaliyah Taylor, The Blossoming of a New Revolution by Zayden the Designer, Style Junkiez by India, and Black in Bloom by Dequincy Atterberry, each contributing to a visually compelling narrative centered on renewal and transformation.

The evening was hosted by Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds, whose commanding presence and industry authority guided the experience with polish and intention. Guests were also captivated by a featured performance from Jewel the Ballerina, adding a layer of artistic expression that complemented the runway.

The red carpet reflected the growing prestige of THE RISE, welcoming high-profile attendees including Eva Marcille, an internationally recognized model, actress, and former winner of America’s Next Top Model, and Raiyonda Vereen, a respected costume designer known for her work with Tyler Perry Studios. Also, Emmy-winning Costume designer, Jeresa Featherstone was in attendance. Their presence underscored the event’s expanding reach across both fashion and television industries.

Select cast members from Beyond the Gates, including Tamara Tunie and Keith D. Robinson, were also in attendance, further bridging the worlds of fashion and on-screen storytelling.

The evening also welcomed distinguished leadership from the academic community, including Dr. Kevin James, President of Morris Brown College, highlighting the important connection between culture, education, and community advancement in Atlanta.

Beyond the runway, guests experienced a fully immersive environment featuring curated vendors, live performances, and elevated culinary offerings. The atmosphere fostered authentic connection among media, influencers, and industry leaders, reinforcing THE RISE as more than an event, but a platform for collaboration and visibility.

With a growing roster of influential attendees and a production standard that continues to rise, THE RISE is solidifying its position as a premier fashion and cultural experience in Atlanta. The execution, creative direction, and intentional storytelling reflect a brand that understands not only fashion, but its power to shape culture and community.

As Atlanta continues to expand its presence on the global fashion stage, THE RISE is not simply participating in the moment, it is helping define it.
